♥ THE RECIPROCITY LAB
A tiny laboratory for very human things

Human connection.
Beautifully complicated.

For the texts we overthink, the friendships we cherish, the boundaries we negotiate, and the stories we sometimes invent between the lines.

Untangle a thought ↗
No sign-up. No judgement. No crystal ball. Just a little more clarity.
✳ FEELINGS ARE REAL   ✳ INTERPRETATIONS ARE GUESSES   ✳ RECIPROCITY IS A TWO-WAY STREET   ✳
Welcome to the messy middle

Between “they said hi”
and “what does it mean?”

There is a whole universe of assumptions. Sometimes our instincts are useful. Sometimes they write an entire screenplay from a three-word message. This is a space to notice the difference—without shaming ourselves for caring.

THE INTERACTIVE BIT ✍
Four lenses · one clearer picture

Bring your own plot twist.

A small exercise for separating what happened from what you think happened. Write as much or as little as you want. Use initials or leave names out.

01 / THE CAMERA

What actually happened?

Actions, words, events. What could a camera or transcript capture?

02 / THE STORYTELLER

What story did you tell yourself?

Your interpretation, hope, fear or assumption. All welcome.

03 / THE OPEN WINDOW

What else could be true?

Two or three plausible alternatives. No need to invalidate your first impression.

04 / THE CHOICE

What would respect both people?

A next step that honours your needs and their freedom.

Your second look

What your four lenses reveal

This is a local, rule-based reflection—not a reading of anyone's mind. It may miss context. You decide what fits.

A few things worth keeping

Clarity can be kind.

Feel it all.

Your feelings don't need a courtroom defence. They deserve attention, not automatic conclusions.

Leave room for mystery.

A delayed reply is a fact. Its meaning may remain wonderfully, annoyingly unclear.

Choose, don't chase certainty.

Good boundaries and mutual choice don't require access to someone else's inner world.

A note from the lab

“You can care deeply about someone without claiming to know what lives inside their head.”

This isn't about becoming detached or calculating. It's about staying human while making a little more room for evidence, imagination, and everybody's autonomy.
